Don't know why the Italian Gov's playin they don't know what's going on....to understand it go there (below) but what's new is the very opportunistic choice of the target trying to involve the organised crime their only and probably last resort dangerous opponent to their enterprise with some means to fight back, a dangerous game... at the same time they expose their knowledge of the society they operate in and how they plan to use their know how to oppose within the society targeted its components (choice of the target allowing all sorts of speculation).
