Where it bleeds, it leads is true to some extent but it is possible to have a situation where the multiplication of where it bleeds is just the most obvious sign of a much wider and deeper struggle or even war. The burst of an offshoot of that wider and deeper wave inevitably attracts some attention and may be short lived depending on the circumstances and some prior offshoots have receded but the underlying wave has only grown and widened by the number of countries and regions of the world it affects.
