That's why I reached a long time ago the conclusion a state cannot marry anybody whatsoever. Now, does it mean that two people that choose a civil union or state marriage have nothing more in common than legal relations, no, not necessarily but the state doesn't not provide any further than legality.
Can we agree on that?
