Encore?

The devil isn't in the doing but in the intentions:))
No, the disgrace come from the joy I have doing it I guess!
Is it mean to offer an alternative view of the many times asserted in the french media "uncultured America" through a web cruize?
So far, The fundamental backdrop remains the same as over the past few weeks--China enacting measures to slow its economy, undermining global growth outlooks; reduced expectations over the strength of the global rebound; and heightened credit/fiscal concerns in Europe.
FX you mean?

Good news on the public finances suggests Ireland’s recession is over

The most encouraging signs of recovery are to be seen in the public finances, which were ruined by recession. Ireland’s finance minister, Brian Lenihan, revealed on January 5th that the 2009 deficit was €620m ($860m), smaller than he had forecast in his budget only a month previously. That good news owed much to tax revenues in December that proved stronger than expected.

The New York Times - Jeffrey Rosen
In the 21st century, the heroic First Amendment tradition may seem like a noble vision from a distant era, in which heroes and villains were easier to identify. But that doesn't diminish the inspiring achievements of First Amendment heroism. Conservative as well as liberal judges now agree that even speech we hate must be protected, and that is one of the glories of the American constitutional tradition. Anthony Lewis is right to celebrate it.

Déliquance verbale, Police de la Pensée, Free Speech? or Hate Speech? Exploring Constitutional Conflicts

First step visit Introduction to the Free Speech Clause . An ongoing debate, The Absolutist Approach, The Categorical Approach, The Balancing Approach have all their aficionados;)
Answer all the following questions.
1. If a referendum were held today on whether to adopt the First Amendment, do you think it would pass?
2. Polls show that most Americans support free speech in theory, but when asked more specific questions such as "Should Americans be free to advocate communism?" most persons polled are far less willing to support free speech values. How to you explain this?
3. Which of the three general approaches to First Amendment analysis is best? Why? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each approach?
4. Which of the values served by the Free Speech Clause to you consider to be the most important? Why?
5. What are some of the costs of protecting free speech? Which are the most significant costs in your opinion?
6. The First Amendment says that Congress shall not abridge "the freedom of speech"? Is that different that a prohibition on abridging "speech"?
7. What does the prohibition on abridging the freedom of the press protect that would not be protected by the prohibition on abridging the freedom of speech? Are reporters protected in ways that other Americans are not?
Then visit
Many Americans embrace freedom of speech for the same reasons they embrace other aspects of individualism. Freedom of speech is the right to defiantly, robustly and irreverently speak one’s mind just because it is one’s mind. Freedom of speech is thus bonded in special and unique ways to the human capacity to think, imagine and create. Conscience and consciousness are the sacred precincts of mind and soul. Freedom of speech is intimately linked to freedom of thought, to that central capacity to reason and wonder, hope and believe, that largely defines our humanity.
But,

Leaving you with,
However, the First Amendment provides broad protection to offensive, repugnant and hateful expression. Political speech receives the greatest protection under the First Amendment, and discrimination against viewpoints runs counter to free-speech principles. Much hate speech qualifies as political, even if misguided. Regulations against hate speech are sometimes imposed because the government (at any level) disagrees with the views expressed. Such restrictions may not survive constitutional scrutiny in court.
Furthermore, the U.S. Supreme Court in
Reno v. ACLU (1997) noted (albeit in a non-hate speech context) that the Internet is entitled to the highest level of First Amendment protection, akin to the print medium. In other words, online hate speech receives as much protection as a hate-speech pamphlet distributed by the Ku Klux Klan.
Given these factors — high protection for political speech, hostility to viewpoint discrimination and great solicitude for online speech — much hate speech is protected. However, despite its text — “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech” — the First Amendment does not safeguard all forms of speech.
Unprotected categories:
Unless online hate speech crosses the line into incitement to imminent lawless action or true threats, the speech receives protection under the First Amendment.

Who are the Best Keepers of the People's liberties? James Madison

The Clearstream circus and probably biggest joke ever involving a president and most if not all top officials of one country (France) is a too good opportunity to not exploit it for the good, so here we go.

Essay : Le Procureur doit-il être élu? Motivate your opinion.

Clearstream??? The all thing is a joke and ridicule all participants. At least some fun for bankers in Davos dealing with the regulators...

Visit

http://www.clearstream.com/ci/dispatch/en/kir/ci_nav/about_us

Why? To find out,

Clearstream is a leading European supplier of post-trading services. The wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Börse ensures that cash and securities are promptly and effectively delivered between trading parties.

Clearstream maintains relationships with around 2,500 customers in over 110 countries. Its global network extends across 45 markets. Backed by flexible securities lending and collateral management services, Clearstream offers one of the most comprehensive international securities services available, settling more than 250,000 transactions daily.
Clearstream International was formed in January 2000 through the merger of Cedel International and Deutsche Börse Clearing. The full integration of Clearstream was completed in July 2002.

Visit,

As permitted by the final rules, Clearstream Banking Luxembourg has prepared a Certification for use by any financial institution that needs it.

I like it better, you ain't a witness.

Paris : A renewed wave of violence bursts in and around the capital, several murders with torture and street knife attacks.

Here another one related to an abduction, rape and attempted murder :
Racially based, the growing number of these direct confrontations as a result of both a gov policy aimed at destructuring communities and a lack of efficient immigration control and management may as the economy will continue to degrade turn rapidly in a much larger confrontation endangering any investment and asset.

Homework : Essay and Reading

Essay :
(De Tocqueville)He feared that American citizens would become so satisfied with being equal to one another that they would abandon their deep interest and involvement in self-government. If this should happen, cautioned de Tocqueville, government would grow more powerful and in a kindly sort of way cover society with "a network of petty, complicated rules."

Answers and More Homework!

On May 9, 1831, two young Frenchmen sailed into the harbor of Newport, Rhode Island and began a remarkable journey through the United States. Alexis de Tocqueville and Gustave de Beaumont, both minor French court officials, had been sent by their government to study new experimental prisons in America. However, even before leaving France, de Tocqueville and de Beaumont decided to spend most of their time observing American democracy in action. Both were excited by the prospect. America was such a young nation, and most Europeans had only a vague idea about its unique democratic system.
Has anyone find out?
"He feared that citizens would become so satisfied with being equal to one another that they would abandon their deep interest and involvement in self-government. If this should happen, cautioned (...), government would grow more powerful and in a kindly sort of way cover society with "a network of petty, complicated rules."
Guess what...! It's a french man who said that!
De Tocqueville, however, saw another even more disturbing threat to American democracy. He feared that American citizens would become so satisfied with being equal to one another that they would abandon their deep interest and involvement in self-government. If this should happen, cautioned de Tocqueville, government would grow more powerful and in a kindly sort of way cover society with "a network of petty, complicated rules." Far from dissolving into anarchy, American government under these conditions could become as oppressive as any cruel European monarchy. Americans would end up having equality through slavery.
Aujourd'hui votre regard sur ce commentaire de De Tocqueville, qui de votre avis a suivi ce chemin "He feared that citizens would become so satisfied with being equal to one another that they would abandon their deep interest and involvement in self-government. If this should happen, cautioned de Tocqueville, government would grow more powerful and in a kindly sort of way cover society with "a network of petty, complicated rules." ?

I said with your heart because the next generation will need these stories to build themselves. Right now, I can't think of one single little nation with that many people in % in jail for a fight over the Land. If this one thousand lives are written, Euskadi's culture will be so much richer whatever the mistakes were if any. Write to Euskadi's kids and next generation of kids. Write your most secret dreams and hopes for the Land and the People. You may think it can be seen as weaknesses and it's difficult to reveal the most secret thoughts but the culture is what carry the nations.
"I did it for my Land, my People and you, I may have made mistakes but who had the right to deny our nation the land of our fathers and the right to govern ourselves. I was left with very little choice, I whished I did not have to, but I did not want my children to ever think we gave up our land for centuries without the courage so many have had before us. I wanted to protect their future and the future of their children knowing that the day a nation loses its Land, a life of despair and mistreatment will await them. I was judged for that and condemned but the only jugement I was worried with is yours. (?)

"Are they forever destined to depend for their political constitutions on accident and force. If there be any truth in the remark, the crisis at which we are arrived may with propriety be regarded as the era in which that decision is to be made; and a wrong election of the part we shall act may, in this view, deserve to be considered as the general misfortune of mankind.
This idea will add the inducements of philanthropy to those of patriotism, to heighten the solicitude which all considerate and good men must feel for the event. Happy will it be if our choice should be directed by a judicious estimate of our true interests, unperplexed and unbiased by considerations not connected with the public good. But this is a thing more ardently to be wished than seriously to be expected. The plan offered to our deliberations affects too many particular interests, innovates upon too many local institutions, not to involve in its discussion a variety of objects foreign to its merits, and of views, passions and prejudices little favorable to the discovery of truth."
With nearly 1,000 prisonners in french and spanish prisons, Euskadi is paying a very high price to access Freedom. I'd love to read a collective book of one thousand stories, discover page after page the suffering and the bleeding, hear and feel the pain that drew this one thousand kids raised somewhere in between two countries to choose a life filled of the sounds of gun fire, prison and sometime death to save the land they love. I read your last statement (the full version published in french, don't know about the translation...?), I don't find that. Speak with your heart, the heart of every single one paying the highest price. The power of the dreams travels through the words the prisoner wishpers.

Read, read, Read, James Monroe, The Quest for National Identity

James Monroe was the last of the Revolutionary Presidents. He served the United States during the War of Independence being wounded while scouting for the Battle Trenton, and during Washington's administration served in the US Senate and State Department. He represented the United States in France and Spain as he continued his diplomatic career (assisting in the negotiations regarding the Louisiana Purchase). He was also the Governor of Virginia and during the Madison Administration served as both the Secretary of State and the Secretary of War. With his election to the Presidency, Monroe's political career was complete.
We'll go back from here to the Founding Fathers.

With the crisis you can see around the world countries with a bigger deficit with a low to medium tax misery performance, countries with a bad tax misery performance but a limited budget deficit and overall debt... but to have both....?!??

Yop. That's exactly what I have in mind.
Then I said not now as I don't be trapped with that stuff, not our business as long as the security of ours isn't in line.
Made a mistake, went to Uncle Sam, was telling you I was busy at the time raising a family...
I had no idea to start with. I don't mind, what do you have. I meant any organisations wether they advocate the communities rights, languages, prisoners defense, else as long they aren't engage into military operations, no wonder they can't access the medias... you know.
In fact just wondering if they have used some kind of monkey business similar to the burqa thing to pass the legislation to lure the people at large? I also would be interesting in the reaction the concerned minorities (Cataluna, Breizh, Corsica, Euskadi, Occitany....)had and have they been able to access the medias to make their point?
Else. How works the media ban targeting the organisations representing these minorities?
What has motivated the refusal to sign the EU Charter? Was the law forcing people to speak french adopted in 1992 a direct response to the EU Charter signed widely the same year?
Has anyone a complere french press coverage and polls of both of these important issues that year? Wouldn't mind if any the gov communication tools used to inform the public.

Being one explanation, ensuring the largest lot possible of the population is not learning english guarantee they can't access the knowledge and more importantly acquire the culture's spirit of independance?
You say what?
To what would you attribute the Founding Fathers leaning to elaborate rights for people that didn't have any? Then, why such a desire has never been expressed in any other language?
Articulate rights is an easy thing to do....?
It's best to spin it to find the way out as the language is part of the conditionning. I haven't had the time to check yet but so far, I haven't seen anything about rights for the locuters of these languages, most of the time, discrimination is state organised. The UN report being very clear...
To be honest, it was meant to enlight people's minds at least the intention was there to begin with. It has since changed to be a tool serving darkness essentially used to spoil small disarmed communities from their wealth, land, to levee a bulk of taxes and finally lobotomise them to make sure they won't reclaim their rights land and language.
Well, it's just because it seems that the changes made are to get closer to the meaning "lumierisation" was to be in the first place.

Just checked, the guy has a theory about the power of the language and its role in defining the identity.... crazy...
:))
Sorry, that wasn't for you, was for Anjali and Jenny.
Well, no that one is a "french" extremist that doesn't know he's one. He's always bullshitting like that. The day kids start to read Paine, find the Library of America, they'll be all gone... Leaving you now, watching Wolf and get to you later or tomorrow.
Never heard of that.... bogus...
Should I be forced to choose between Freedom and comfort, I think I'll choose Freedom to have the opportunity to fight to gain back my comfort. If I give up Freedom I guess that when I'll loose my comfort, I'll end up with nothing.

Ignorance has always been a driver for fear and a recipe for abuse of rights.... any idea of how to add that entry to the french knowledge dictionary?
It does explain it all, doesn't it?
So far here is a first answer Paris approved.... Barkatu, baina sarrera hau ez dago hiztegian!
The language rights of Basque speakers : Independently of the socio-linguistic situation of the Basque language, the obstacles to its use are undeniable. We have therefore considered it important that Basque speakers should be aware of their legal rights and of the legal situation with regard to their right to choose the language in which they express themselves in any particular situation: at school, at work, in court, with third party individuals and with the administration.
Source : Euskara
I don't see why they make such a fuss about language rights, has anyone heard from any officials a logical argumented explanation for the lack of these rights for Breizh, Corsica, and....Euskadi as I haven't heard any of that for North Euskadi or for any of the languages the EU Charter considers?

What I found disturbing is that desire for destruction. Tell me what kind of ideology, bad instincts, inability to deal with a diversity of expressions leads you to show that much of intolerance towards these tiny endangered human groups up to refuse them the type of protection for their language and culture every single country around you has already accepted?
Language itself isn't an identity but nevertheless there isn't much difference to me in between destroying the Bamyan Buddhas and the french regime trying to eliminate different languages, the idea behind is just as sick, eradicate any form of different cultural expressions. They are no different than talibans in a way, they can't stand, tolerate what they feel as an attempt to the "supremacy" of the "official" culture including the language that they have determined should be the reference everyone must have.
These fights against cultures and expressions have a lot in common.

I'm about to, you?
Just wondering, do you have any idea why everytime culture, rights and language show up in the debate, their answer slip to the ugly race thing?

As one of the architects of the transcendentalist movement, Emerson embraced a philosophy that championed the individual, emphasized independent thought, and prized "the splendid labyrinth of one's own perceptions." More than any writer of his time, he forged a style distinct from his European predecessors and embodied and defined what it meant to be an American.

Vincent to my desk... NOW!

I learned, Vincent, that you gave your word to a lady, Nathalie, and didn't honor it... not exactly a surprise.... Shameful and miserable are your justifications for what is not just a disrespect for a lady but happened also to be your kind of respect for the Press.
When, Vincent, you're invited to Arlette's show and been told about it more than it should be actually, you should just come and be nice, offered to sell your opinions to the public is an opportunity, silly man.
The fuss you make about the Republic is ridiculous, read the first Amend. People speak. You know what, sometime, they say stupid things they regret just like you and me. Then what?
What disturbed me most is to see you're a spoiled brat!
The Press is just too good.... anywhere else you woudn't be able to show such a poor behaviour. If saying anything stupid, you would be told to shup up on my show, invited almost prime time for a debate that controversial right now and you let it go with the poor excuses you give about a union that want to interfere with the editorial line of a show????? Soviet Union or something?
Well sold, Vincent, you just entered the PINHEAD hall of fame! And guess what, you're my week's peak.

1) reconnaître l'existence de minorités nationales ou ethniques, religieuses et linguistiques sur le territoire français et retirer sa réserve à l'article 27 du Pacte international relatif aux droits civils et politiques, concernant les droits des personnes appartenant à des minorités, et à l'article 30 de la Convention relative aux droits de l'enfant ;

You can find the list of countries that signed the charter here http://www.eurominority.eu/ and a map of the minorities.
Now it will hardly take place before march.
No, I ain't sure of nothing. But. If the french state ends up paying millions and millions of dollars of compensation once the consequences of depriving people of their language and culture have been evaluated individually, because it has tremendous consequences, there is no discussion about that as it has already been established, they may look at the charter very differently...?

Say what?

Without Thomas Paine, the United States of America would not be the strong and independent country it is today. Within the first three months of its publication, Common Sense sold 120,000 copies and became the foundation for American political literature. Paine's vision and quotable slogans defined the United States at its most critical point in history and remains relevant for today's citizens.

I have a secret dream, I love to know why? I wish I could ask them (the french regime and their pundits)why do you hate them so much? Why didn't you love them, grow them, give them whatever they may have needed to be better and free? Why did you hate them so much that you never felt any feeling for the potential terrible loss of a culture and language for a community? Why didn't you want to make them big? When you saw that the denial of their rights lead some to violence, others to extreme right or else organisations, why didn't you stop? Why still today do you enjoy to see them small? Why don't you feel the need to protect them, their language, culture and interests? What have they done to be treated by the Gov in charge of their administration in such a horrendous way?
Are they going to give the foiled flag to the widow?
Cowards and hypocrits... you ask me I tell you, no hate body. Tell me if today Thomas was around and writing the age of reason not just about the old and new testament but doing the same and adding the coran, being critic, guess what?
Now when you have major signs of intolerance towards minorities (religious or else) through a spectrum of very different cultures, people, countries history in various part of the world governed by very different political system, only sharing a religious ideology, in any other case, you'd certainly reach the conclusion that question the only common item involved is a rigorous thing to do?
Should critics of an ideology be used against the followers, it probably does happen, it's wrong but should the followers oppose any critics or judgement of the ideology implicated invoking it may be directed at the followers when it's not?
Got something?

The writings of John Stuart Mill have become the cornerstone of political liberalism. Collected for the first time in this volume are Mill’s three seminal and most widely read works: On Liberty, The Subjection of Women, and Utilitarianism. A brilliant defense of individual rights versus the power of the state, On Liberty is essential reading for anyone interested in political thought and theory. As Bertrand Russell reflected, “On Liberty remains a classic . . . the present world would be better than it is, if [Mill’s] principles were more respected.” $ 2.70 or $ 8.95 (Full writings : On Liberty, the Subjection of Women and Utilitarianism - ) everyone gets the member price. Rights of Man presents an impassioned defense of the Enlightenment principles of freedom and equality that Thomas Paine believed would soon sweep the world. He boldly claimed, "From a small spark, kindled in America, a flame has arisen, not to be extinguished. Without consuming ... it winds its progress from nation to nation."
$ 2.70 everyone gets the member price - Limited time offer. Thomas was born in England on January 29, 1737, and his impoverished early life offered scant evidence of the qualities that would later elevate him to literary and historical prominence. Taking the first available opportunity to improve his lot, he moved to America in 1775, coincidentally arriving at the time when revolutionary fervor was just taking hold.

Went for some fresh air. I guess I'll be watching. Will you? As I missed part of the conversation, I'd say straight forward, Corsicans whatsoever shouldn't be forced out their land, it is shameful and dirty.
I recommend you check on that one, it's a good example that illustrates well the type of process the regime's pundits use in these territories.

It's a recipe for trouble everywhere, they're irresponsible.
Alright.
I'm planning it as I need to check on my place.
When do you plan to stop by?
You'll love it!
I have some great videos, high ranking officials, some passed gov members about US Social Security, Banking system, Money, Judiciary system.... guarantee you a good laugh.
That divide at the heart of Europe is a shame and contradicts every single principle they pretend they stand for. It won't hold on the long run, you just can't advocate any ideals while doing the exact contrary within the territories under your administration. Most recent surveys show that double standards targeting the langages, cultures, territories and interests are soon to be a handicap for that crowd....
But don't make mistakes, they're undereducated, don't know or understand much of anything when it comes to rights for these communities and the EU Charter affair proves they hate the rule of law... That's my guess.
I don't know.... they'ren't very good at rights... has always been like that. It's deeply rooted in the system.
Did you get the parcels?

I went out for a short while, briefly met with Tximista to give him a selection of books I had picked. He seemed to be convinced that a new wave of violence would be counterproductive and a threat to a potential crucial unexpected success in the next row of elections. Recent years were difficult with too many internal conflicts in the organisation. In the community, the new generation seemed to distant itself from the idea of getting involved to have a free state and the pressure exercised by both states, France and Spain on militant's families depriving them from any job, searching houses on a regular basis and using both bureaucracies at the best of their abilities, citizen's harassment, had taken their toll. The danger was to see a further radicalisation, a secret dream I knew the Paris regime had for a number of years hoping it will be a new excuse to differ and refuse the EU Charter rights for Euskadi's people and others. He opened the box I just handed and laughed.
Thomas Paine, The Federalist Papers, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson writings, you don't stop, do you?
I do, you'll get Lincoln later, first the roots and the trunk, you'll have to wait for the fruit.
Too cold to stay out, we headed to the nearest cafe bar. Watching his smile, I knew that somehow he had read the mail I had sent and was stunned with the poll results. He didn't mention it and I decided I wouldn't either. A damaged dream suddenly revived. The community, we may never know why, woke up one morning with the conviction Euskal Herria, the land, the language and that so special warm spirit years of adversity and divide between two countries had forged, was the most dear thing they ever had. The poll was showing it and I knew he was feeling the change. The next step will be to make sure nobody will spoil the potential result but it wouldn't be tonight's talking point (;) as done with the coffee, we left.
BBC - Small bomb explodes near Greek parliament in Athens
Same story, we have had the Weimar Republicans, I guess we now have their heirs....
Competing for jobs I guess. Nobody was killed according to so far. Have more?

Looking for the Egypt story.
BBC - Got it - Another Christmas tale... got it wrong to start with no church burned but a drive by shooting that killed six Coptic Christians and one security official.
The shooting came as worshippers left a church in Naj Hammadi, southern Egypt after a midnight mass on Coptic Christmas Eve on 7 January.

Followed some clashes the following day.
Did what?
Earlier I had Malaisia : 4th Christian Church burned down but it's gone now, what have you got for that and Muslim Christian Copts fight in Egypt? Have some Churches been taken down too ?

For the next row of elections when asked if candidates or political parties refusing to implement the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages or refusing that kids be taught at school their language should be boycotted, the poll indicates that 58% would approve the boycott up 6 points from the previous research done last september with 52% approving the measure.

Breizh, Corsica, Euskadi : The paris regime in big trouble for the next row of elections show the polls.

Policies and cultural war set to divide these small nations and organise internal conflicts between its members seems to have long lived. The economic crisis, the burst of several wave of unsustainable violence throughout the territories under the paris regime administration hitting very hard the paris region on the way to produce an unexpected effect reveal several polls done from Switzerland.
Divided, unable to use their language, celebrate their culture, create anything that the regime would judge benefiting their future as a community, Breizh, Euskadi, and Corsica and some others small nations have seen their interests very much compromised under the paris regime administration which looks now in deep deep trouble as a new row of election approaches.
The unprecendented and increasing wave of violence throughout the paris region driving these communities to think over their future and to refuse any longer a fake political divide left right that so far is now seen as a regime's tool to spoil their community's best interests, destroy their language, culture and rights to a secure land for their children.
These polls will have to be confirmed but this new trend may renew hope for these communities the regime has hit so hard and keep under pressure with threats and hate policies towards their language and culture refusing to implement EU rules.
A surprising result in these elections should trigger a series of sanctions if the regime keep trying to destroy these communities and their intesrests.

Enfin Eric....!

Michel!

You may have noticed, I don't support excessive credit card shopping.... in the best of your interest and I will check, you haven't on Monday reach your credit card limit shopping up and down the Champs Elysees.... avec le Grand Emprunt.... :)
