Mission Impossible : Mrs Penchard, a Cabinet member, involved in a tense campaign to represent a constituancy could only end in tears and it does.

Very unfair treatment reserved to a lady Mrs Penchard, a cabinet member of the Sarkosy's administration.
The political system allows, encourages cabinet members to be elected and of course it is a disaster. The conflict of interests is permament and most of the time ignored as long as it doesn't make any noise. Nevertheless, Mrs Penchard was caught with a speech delivered to the small contituancy she is running to represent telling the crowd she'll fought harder for them than she may do for others, the least you can do for your constituents, bad luck, a news crew was around. Not the kind of partisanship you expect from a cabinet member....
Hypocrisy is the rule, you can represent your contituent's interests but don't mention it...
It should be ended, no cabinet members should be representing any interests, they should be serving the administration.
Are Mrs Penchard's words a reason good enough to ask for her resignation? I'd say no for now looking for what lead to the controversial speech. Asking for her to resign or be sacked seems to be based on she can't behave differently from the "secret thoughts at her heart" she has admited speaking to the constituency she is running to represent. It is to admit she can be reduced to the constituency she belongs to and can't be a cabinet member when should be questionned her participation in the race leading to the situation being the cause for some controversial words opposed to a deliberate choice or a sense of belonging?
I have listened to the lady. I can't say I'm happy with what I heard. I wished she had come forward to declare she had made a mistake and regret any offense caused announcing she had decided to withdraw from a race obviously partisan and contrary to her mission as a cabinet member serving the People or that she had decided to quit her job as a cabinet member when entering the race but was asked to delay the communication to avoid any media controversy just before a row of local elections.
The day you guys start to think outside the box and watch yourself... you'll find out you don't look good?
If adding the ethnic programs run to maintain Corsicans, Basques, Breizh and other small nations under employed and most of the time not employed at all... to sach them from their homeland, it looks dirtier and dirtier.
