Why can't elected officials and their opposition(and staff) put up a plan, go to every townhall and or use tv and internet, explain what went wrong, who did it and when, how too much money has been spent, take the blame because the People won't be happy, they have been betrayed in a way, their trust was somewhat abused, explain their plan and how long it will take, acknowledge everyone will have to make an effort, the powerful and elected officials taking a fair share of the wages reduction leading the effort, sell the plan telling the People everyone sticking and committing themselves to this effort will result in everyone getting out of the hole, the sooner the better?
