It was some I sometimes need and didn't take with me when I left. Thomas Paine and John Stuart Mill, so I did, wasn't sure but thought the Oxford Classic collection may do the trick. Went back to the store, headed to the enquiries, so nice and pleased to make your visit a good time, showed the way down to the basement and here it was, picked up Thomas and John, complete writings (well most of ...) and... and .... the invisible hand.... my eyes dropped right there... Edmund..... Burke.... ( Reflections on the Revolution in France).... didn't know Edmund... and guess what...."What impressed him about political institutions was not their origins in speculative theories, but their capacity or failure to meet the real needs of men living in a political community. Some upheavals, like the American Revolution, could be applauded because they sought to reaffirm the political that were peculiar to a particular society. Burke wrote in support of Poles, Corsicans, and the peoples of India for the same reason. Other revolutions , however, notably the french, were damned for cutting the peoples off from their roots. "
Dabipbip... I had missed Edmund for the last 50 years.... knew nothing about him and his correspondance with non parisians....eretics....???!!???
Now, you want an example of the invisible hand, I wanted MC's book, Courage and Consequence and after a tapas lunch, frustration a bad instinct....! I don't have should I mention it....? takes me back to the bookstore to drive me to Edmund writings....
I must add, make ends meet is for everybody, Oxford Classic Collection runs a special, buy one, get one free.... where?
