For the price of wheat to be just equal what it was in 1980 today's price should be 483.27, it is "just" 37% cheaper!
True for cotton, true for wheat we'll have a look over "food prices", prices haven't spiked, they're down big time what they used to be.
Recently, prices went up but since March 2008, wheat went down from 439.72 to 157.67, a drop of 64%....

Tell me, has the end consumer seen any of the drop? If not... I guess the spot price is finally a small player in the retail price for the end consumer? Reached the conclusion the recent spike on the spot should just play out the same, well, I guess you're very poorly spirited and ill inspired not to mention you may be a trouble maker.
