Finnish travel agencies on Sunday began evacuating tourists from Egypt and cancelling scheduled holiday flights to that country.
The Foreign Ministry said Sunday that unrest in major Egyptian cities was also being reflected at holiday resorts. Previously, tourist destinations along the Red Sea had not been affected by Egyptian government measures to calm political unrest.

Several Dutch travel organisations are making preparations to bring over 3,000 holiday makers home early. TUI has some 1,600 tourists in popular resorts such as Hurghada and Thomas Cook has a further 1,500.
