Nantes :
"A van crashed into a crowd Monday night at Place Royale, at the Christmas market. There were a dozen injured. Firefighters are on site..../....A white van charged into the crowd. According to witnesses and a police officer, the driver shouted “Allahu Akbar.” However, claims about a possible religious motive remain unclear. Indeed, other witnesses did not confirm it."
But no identity yet. France is facing an unprecedented wave of terrorist attacks but the official version of events remains the denial hoping it will disturb the expected pattern where the publicity around one attack generates the next although also demonstrating the lack of options the authorities are left with in a situation where they lost control.

Well whatever u know. As far as I am concerned I couldn't be more cheered up with what I heard from all those involved in the program that were given the opportunity to speak out, they all with their own words said that at some point they experienced one way or the other some discomfort, some used much stronger words and given what people mean truly when they say that is they had with themselves a conversation about the right and the wrong. The fact they have had this conversation is just what you need to know to confirm how great individuals they are because anybody who had one day this conversation knows that they went over their own end. There isn't a greater gift they could have made to serve their country while the very little of their own feelings about it they accepted to show means America is exactly the same place where under extraordinary circumstances some may not like very much what they have to do but they will. In that matter for as long as there is no taste, souls are safe and it is what ultimately counts.

what paper? To request the protection of the Geneva convention provisions detainees that wish to do so must be wearing a uniform identifiable as well as decline rank and it doesnt fit... very clearly the provisions exclude anyone engaged in clandestine operations and not to mention the administration perfectly aware of the legal loophole into which the detainees find themselves which allows at time of war immediate execution tried repeatedly to define a status through the definition of enemy combatant. There has never been any provision of any kind under the Geneva Convention covering personnel engaged in clandestine activities and not wearing an identifiable uniform of an identified army, so... what is it u wanna say

No doubt that in Drugean or Hauchard and a wide range of others the absence of the FCNM sheltering policies of overexposed cultures and individuals upheld by the lack of respect for these minorities cultures by the French State lead to show a much more pleasant face and engaged in more accomodative policies towards the most active and visible religious or else non native minorities through the mainstream medias and political landscape, have played a role, now connect in court how it plays out on an individual basis is a challenge but if ultimately it leads to the death of someone, is there ground for the family to pursue in Court is worth a try. Thats what he said.

Difficult to say because it is everywhere. Just yesterday CNBC a very decent lady, pro, says Obama's veto more important than ever, it stunned me nobody said anything and I thought well I guess it is a new reading of the Constitution. It wasn't that long ago, had someone say that he or she would have been told there isn't any X 's veto more important than ever, it is the President 's office that has the power to veto, not Congress, nor the Republican or Democrat majority in Congress, nor any philosophical stance the Congress majority may be inspired by but a piece of legislation with at the heart of the veto the perpetual search of the balance between the legitimacy of the majority's will to advance its agenda and its tyranny. Everyone used to learn that and suddenly it looks gone. Doesn't it surprise you?

It is a debate since indirectly the result is a tax on the non for profit sector which reduces its services to the communities... Arguably the sector isn't taxed but all the other sectors are and will have therefore to support the tax increase the revised contribution represents reducing the available funding to the non for profit sector so if u ask me if I side with the newly named radicals pointing at a tax on those that are the most in need, well I guess I do.
It looks weird to say the least but the FT has published may be a week ago now an explanation, to make it short, following a reassessment of how GDP is accounted for several countries but more noticeably the Nederland and the UK have seen on their contribution revised. The amount called represents the difference between what should have been the contribution and what actually the contribution was once GDP includes the non for profit sector according to that paper.
It lead me to joke about it but I have had a very confidential success when I said that I suspected the Eurozone leaders to try to seduce the Kremlin with a typical Soviet era policy of reward failures with bailouts and penalize success with fines hoping that at least it would make Peskov laugh....

Sorry I m not fluent in Corsu but he refers to the battle of Pontu Novu and I m hardly any better at Corsica's history but "Voltaire, in his Précis du Siècle de Louis XV, admiringly wrote about the battle: "The principal weapon of the Corsicans was their courage. This courage was so great that in one of these battles, near a river named Golo, they made a rampart of their dead in order to have the time to reload behind them before making a necessary retreat; their wounded were mixed among the dead to strengthen the rampart. Bravery is found everywhere, but such actions aren't seen except among free people."

I don't think so... according to me... it is too sophisticated for most of these politicians. The guy is clever and it is no coincidence that at a time of extreme economic hardship with a resurfacing debate about who is and isn't a true French, never mind how absurd this is... he picked the most controversial political individual in the French recent history who overtime justified or not became the most evil symbol of the defense of French "purity" through his alleged action as head of the interim gov during France occupation by the nazis, to expose that even this man through the definition he had of the French people and based his negotiation with the Nazis, had admitted and made his that naturalization was a mean to acquire the quality to belong to the French people.
Do u get me, think it was the point he wanted to make. A total fiasco it looks but the needle is in the coffin and we'll see.

And, the same thing happened when speaking of the deal, yes it did, he was speaking of the deal, actually among the consequences and instead of having a yes or no as were these consequences fact checked, the conversation turned to his opinion of the deal without him truly asking why was the conversation taking that turn as he kept speaking of the deal itself which soon makes it an insane conversation. So I m telling you again how from an argument about the deal u assume it isn't about it but about his opinion in the same way when he questions an allegation it ends up assumed as his opinion?

Unclear for now, the known facts are there was a ban on the Corsican Nation flag not motivated and as a consequence with the FCNM not signed all sorts of disturbing behaviours and disrespect for the native nations under French administration, flags, languages and culture are to be seen and lead to violence.
Why?
Why?
That I don't know. But the amazing thing is the guy was selling his new book called the French decline and is often involved in debating difficult and controversial matters and hadn't dreamed I guessed of a better illustration of his speech about the decline. As soon as it had emerged he had questioned the below, he was immediately portrayed alternatively as a militia member doing some Nazi salute in the back room of a biker's bar after his 25th beer or someone using the Vichy controversy to better sell his book with poor language, poor thinking and as usual with difficult matters in the most messy and disorderly conducted tv debate you can imagine ending with bird names and promises of political and mainstream media excommunication which couldn't show better the inability to handle difficult matters and controversies orderly illustrating both a decline of the use of an elaborated language and sophisticated thinking. Wondering if he did unpurpeous.

You shouldn't be so harsh, if you had carefully listened to what he said, he is questioning the Vichy's head of government alleged antisemitism through the definition he had of the French people?? when he negotiated with the nazis the deal that lead to consider Judaism not defining when confronted with the French citizenship.
Rather funny to be honest to offer the "rehabilitation", something he's accused of, of someone under the condition he wasn't what he allegedly was.

Yes he should be asked to before anything else minding he can still take sides support Kiev and the Western Ukraine but through higher education and a range of projects serving the needs of these populations. I would agree with that, given the circumstances before throwing dirt and the launch of an ugly campaign including the sack of a range of organisations to destroy his reputation, I will support he is asked to redirect the funding of any militia and weapons to peaceful projects and emphasize his today responsibilities within these organisations force him to do so.
I know you'd say that but if once double checked the truth about what lead to that campaign, I think the right thing to do is to ask him to redirect the spending to education. Obviously he has decided to support one side in the conflict and because the conflict is along ethnic lines as well as culture and history tied to terrible conflicts, he has as a successful individual and member of a community not involved in the conflict a very special responsibility and given his talent demonstrated in business, all the capabilities to be an asset to promote peace and projects that pursue national reconciliation.

I agree nonetheless there isn't any mention yet of the FBI travelling to Baghdad to interrogate arrested suspect. Irak PM didn't go into details although the planning of attacks in subways while possible do not match the change of strategy since Mumbay and the early stage of the Islamic state, Kenya Mall, BP compound and gunmen rampage where the effort to reduce the number of Muslim victims were noticeable. For Europe, following the type of attack evolution with Merah's and Nemmouche's the most likely next attack will not be any blind bombing but rather a Mumbay style attack with several gunmen, multiple targets preferably in upscale shopping areas for as much as possible spare Muslim working crowds.

"There were serious threats that were uncovered by Iraqi intelligence, and they were forwarded to the appropriate security authorities of our partners," the senior Iraqi official said in a statement."A full assessment of the veracity of the intelligence and how far the plans have gone into implementation is ongoing. "
What's on going for sure is the investigation as to when exactly has the information been forwarded to the "appropriate security authorities" and what was the immediate response from these authorities and the public informed.
Islamic State militants captured in Iraq said the group has been planning attacks on subways in Paris and in the U.S., Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar al-Abadi said. The plotters are fighters from France and the U.S. who are in Iraq, he said.

I wouldn't say that, the heart of the problem here is, for some in Europe, the Kremlin gives in under public opinion pressure and refuse to look elsewhere when its own are under fire. The Kremlin critics are worried of the example it sets when artificial borders suddenly vanished in front of the culture, linguistic and ethnic ties between people. The essential problem they face with their own public opinion is that it is not always the case as shown by the recent Germany reunification, there was a border.... but culture, language and ethnic ties triumphed one evening and that border disappeared. The Donbass history has for centuries a lot more in common with the Rostov Oblast than it has with any other region of today's Ukraine so for how long is it possible to neglect these ties and how to manage the state institutions to allow the Donbass to save, protect and cherish it's identity while sharing the Ukrainian state citizenship. Many are awaiting Kiev's initiative showing how much they care about the future of the Donbass nations.
I don't know... what was worse Stalin's brutality towards the Ukrainian peasants and the great famine or the Don decossackisation, clearly both were decimated.
Now it is difficult to know exactly it has been a long time since I was able to talk to him. Retain that honour the Novocherssack victims belongs more to the tool box of someone trying to heal a tortured nation's passed than it does to the Soviet orthodoxy.

Actually what crossed my mind is hey Tovarish that's mean Bro... I do understand every bit of the Ukrainian nation frustration, from the terrible wrong Stalin did to them to the role it plays in the choice so many made during WW 2 how unable they found themselves to be themselves and serve the good alternatively blinded by their desire of revenge followed with renewed humiliation to be on the wrong side of a fight that wasn't theirs.... but I m surprised at what looks to be the inability to see that the Cossacks descent they fight today have so much in common when it comes to be the victims of ideologies and wars they found themselves involved when never their interests were considered.

Get me some Crest advanced white if u can.
Connected to early general elections I guess, best to stick to "The foothold that has been created will be expanded and secured so that the separatists will not suffer a defeat,” Gen. Tak said. (NATO Briefing)
Although since May the 9th and Kiev's choice to "humiliate" May the 9th Russian culture with some very concrete consequences far beyond Ukraine borders, the risk to see Donbass share a future very similar to Abkhazia and Ossetia has increased ten fold. Following Poroshenko election, a window to change the course of events was open but as the time goes by, it will prove to be more difficult. For now, Kiev follows the exact same path, make the exact same mistakes Georgia made, unable to think and elaborate a state doctrine inclusive of culture diversity connected to ethnicity and Land history. If it keeps failing at thinking the Ukraine state disconnected from being exclusively a Ukrainian nation project, Ukraine's today's borders will face a bleak future.
That's to put it mild.

And never did. Did you? I guess it can be dressed but I won't buy it, connected to trend in its form rather than a change of meaning in the role it plays in social relations. God bless you, God bless, Bless you, I heard it all on same occasions and if I had to characterise, I'd say the diverse forms were more connected to the age of people than any noticeable difference in its meaning and how it interacts.
We can have that conversation on the leg down to the Nederlands but if it is God bless you, you and I have known that was a while ago it has been for a period of time God bless, you had left, more recently Bless you looked to be the new common form of it. Would you say u ever felt a change in the meaning directly connected to its contracted expression, I haven't...

I keep seeing J. Madison's malicious smile at the idea that the Bill of Rights First Amendment so often involved in bitter and controversial dispute about the legality of speeches by two opposing parties which to say the least lack some of the wisdom the Bill of Rights writers had when they decided to trust these two parties they knew too well, I mean their ability to twist and swing their poor faith, that to see it come to the rescue of kindness is well unexpected but no doubt an opportunity for celebration.
What have you come with, I m rethinking the if your words can be understood cause that supposed you knew it could when in fact she did not.
What have you come with, I m rethinking the if your words can be understood cause that supposed you knew it could when in fact she did not.
jeudi 21 août 2014
Difficult to say but I look at it like that, her kindness toppled her will to fulfill her obligation to the school rules rather that she broke her obligations with the intent to deliver a religious message. And m eager to hear you about what could be the Supreme Court decision as to whether or not The 1st Amend does cover the right to be kind if your words can be understood to belong to a religion when they also share a wider social culture.
Not really. Just wondering where does come the idea to ban kindness from the classroom? I do understand the religious characterisation of "bless you" is the pretence for doing so but out of ten people wishing you a nice or happy holiday how many are actually wishing you happy holy days and an intense spiritual time in the days ahead, instead a majority are thinking of the weather and a happy time with your family and or friends, you do accept it means both which is the direct consequence of an evolving culture. The very same apply to marriage, an institution religion created and fed the content for thousands of years, you can hardly say today you would strictly understand it as defined by its religious character so what does interest me is why such a differentiated understanding of bless you being more about kindness than religiosity can't be? Leading me to ask myself why would you and should you ban kindness from a classroom?
mercredi 20 août 2014
True. But guess what, in today's language "bless you" is just as religious as "marriage" to me, to be absolutely honest, the very same people keen to deny the religiosity of "marriage" a religious institution happen to be the same, ready to characterise aggressively "bless you" as ultra religious regardless of anyone's common sense who have witnessed a countless number of non believers use "bless you" to be kind rather than religious.
Can "bless you" be more religious than"marriage"?
Can "bless you" be more religious than"marriage"?

What are the odds to see Congress investigate US support for Democracy in Ukraine hijacked to support private interest in shale gas? What has stunned me up to now has been Russian patience, things have changed compared to Soviet Union era... Well, just wondering what type of threat to Russia's gas output sales represents the Yuzivska shale gas field, if any, was it ignored or deliberate?

Just meant that it doesn't change anything of the right for the Ukrainian nation to decide its future even if that choice is a big change in the type and style of relations it has had with Russia for decades, definitely their right. The party of regions made enough mistakes to create the weaknesses that lead and allowed the Maidan protest to turn into their own demise but it can't justify what took place at the Odessa's Unions building nor can it justify or explain why the civilians fleeing the fighting in Donbass ask for asylum in Russia instead of the Ukraine's authorities protection.
Not that I know, so either way
Meanwhile, the militia fighters of the Donbas region and Ukrainian troopers have exchanged their dead and captivated fighters. The militias reported that the bodies of 3 out of 12 dead fighters had traces of torture. Most captives had their bones broken and internal organs damaged.

The Ukrainian army continues using aircraft and heavy weapons against populated localities in Donbas. A local power substation became the target of air strikes in a southern outskirt of Donetsk. Fighting was under way in Donetsk outskirts the whole night. The Ukrainian army actively used howitzers and Grad multiple rocket launchers. The Russian Foreign Ministry recalled that Ukrainian troopers had fired Grad missiles against the town of Gorlovka killing 40 civilians. That fact was confirmed by Human Rights Watch.

There are disturbing facts and if there can be little doubt that mistakes to say the least have been made in the way Ukraine was governed neglecting at best the interests of a large western part of the Ukrainian nation prior to the Maidan events, what is going since looks just as ugly if not worse. I can hardly figure out what could have the headlines if close to one million Ukraine westerners had to cross Poland's, Slovakia's, Hungary's and Romania 's border seeking asylum to flee the shelling of their cities by the Ukrainian Armed Forces under Yanukov authority....

The most recent number of Ukrainian nationals fleeing the fighting reached a couple of days ago 800 000 according to Russian authorities, UN counting is on vacation it looks, first the refugee crisis gets little or no media coverage at all, the refugees are seeking shelter in Russia not in Kiev. Why are they scared of the Armed Forces of their central Gov?

Meaning what? Look this is among the discrepancies. What are your motives when you decide to give the images that change the propaganda of your enemy you have denounced calling you the fascist junta hating anything Russian into information supporting a war time media communication?
Generally speaking you pursue the goal to prove your enemy's communication to its people is made of lies, why would you decide to engage into any military actions that are not decisive on the ground not to say useless when you know it will produce images supporting the worse accusations of your enemy's communication you are fighting while your only message underlying the operations you are getting out is discontent and lack of understanding for one of the calendar highlight of the community you are engaged in a confrontation with some of their representant?

Meaning anybody of Russian culture, descent or of Slavic brotherhood culture, a mix of we are glad the Soviet Union belongs to the passed but that history made who we are today and May the 9th is among the most important things that unite us regardless of our backgrounds celebrated throughout the USSR former republics. The message Kiev's sent that day doesn't suffer any interpretation and definitely prevented Russia to play any moderator role. Was it among the goals of the operations of that day? Possible, a little more than that considering the tv images of tanks shooting at civil parades effect on the Russian tv networks audience enough to silence for a long time any critic of the Federalists and growing the crowd of unconditional support.
Just more of the same. The Kiev crowd keeps its military operations on going around the crash site and complains the Federalists are hampering the investigation fighting back... which u will admit is not serious if truly the investigation is a priority meaning Kiev' stance to say the least is ambiguous. Note that for the first time an EU member found the courage to ask Kiev to quit its operations preventing the investigators to reach the site.
Although whether the western diplomacy doesn't say everything whether they missed the message the Kiev crowd delivered on May the 9th which to make it short was there is no future in the New Ukraine for anybody May the 9th is meaningful.

According to that the launcher came from Russia but after years of efforts from Russia to make a comeback, they compromise everything by allowing a sophisticated and extremely dangerous piece of weaponry in the wrong hands to go to a neighbouring country, unchecked, to support a political movement engaged in an armed confrontation with their central Gov...
The very same team was years ago a source of relief when the fear was the dissemination of the arsenal of nuclear weapons or parts of those weapons following the collapse of the Soviet Union with the potential to fall in the wrong hands in troubled republics....
They could be trusted to secure such a dangerous arsenal spread over a number of countries including dangerous grounds but not over a ground to air missile launcher, they say they didn't allow...

I know, saw it but it lacks credibility. The OSCE has recently released the number of 250 civilians killed by Ukrainian forces including women and kids for the city of Luhansk alone with absolutely no concerns expressed from anybody. Of course they speak Russian which may explain why the killings look somewhat admissible but .... it is not.

If indeed there were 100 scientists on-board fighting a so called "God's sword beheading sinners" it made that flight a target of choice for a recently very active group such as Isis, the fact the flight went down can well be just a coincidence as long as what ever went on-board is ignored, the pilot themselves could well be operatives themselves and shoot two birds with the same stone kill the scientists and cause an international crisis by crashing the plane in that area or operatives that boarded the flight did it. With the Brussels Jewish Museum in mind, they have the resources on the ground to do it.
The Donbass Federalists may prove to be ultimately responsible but the accusations have been made too fast and are felt as well too convenient in light of all the efforts recently made to rent rebrand Islamic operatives terror operations.
jeudi 17 juillet 2014
Twice cause u don't know if it is u jumped on the missile wagon but ... it may be another pilot gone wild or the new type of device that lead to the most recent set of new guidelines regarding small electronics that can't be taken on-board if the device has a dead battery. Given that only flights to usually targeted destinations have applied the guidelines, Islamic operatives may have picked an easy target.
What for? If it was shot down and crashed it was shot long before where it crashed... dummy! Calculate that after the impact of the object flying at an average speed of 800 g at 10 thousands meter high don't brake in the air to fall like a stone where it was shot so it leaves you with a Ukrainian jet misfire.... but given the actual positions of federalists they can't have fired the missile that got the plane down if it is a missile.

No, it was reiterated but success looks thin for now, the "terrorist" rhetoric to point at the adversaries in a conflict along territorial ethno linguistic lines has all the components to produce disastrous abuse of the civilians population associated as well as lower the moral standards of Gov troops engaged on the ground. It was underlined the Donbass region inhabitants are not engaged in military type operations to submit anyone to an ideology, any other type of mental alienation or ethnic domination but to defend their rights, the illegal characterisation of their action should have appeared a more appropriate wording of the opposition between the central Gov and the desire for the Donbass communities to enjoy a protection of their rights.
So to answer you, yes it was at least twice mentioned that in order to avoid a repeat of the Odessa's type of consequences Kiev must act responsibly and be extremely cautious on the rhetoric as next to the divide opposing the two sides which is the type of institutional relations between the local communities of the Donbass region and Kiev centralised Gov, the divide is also along ethno-linguistic lines with no member at all of the communities opposing the Gov in the armed forces intervening, posing the threat of unreported wrong doing of armed forces on civilian population.
As you know up to this date, Kiev has ignored the warnings... what do you suggest,

Not quite yet, last night the roundup showed the situation was still deteriorating, Rostov as expected now feeling the pain with all its available temporary accommodations filled. The day before a video was posted from a summer camp type of residence in Rostov region by a group of ladies ashtag don't kill us. On Wednesday, the flux of refugees topped 8000 according to Itar reports as again reports not independently confirmed of use by the Gov armed forces of illegal ammunition surface.
1) "In the region there are almost 4,000 refugees, there 1,800 are children,” he said. “The situation is getting more complicated. The refugees are not coming in groups any longer, they are getting here on their own. We are meeting them, and take to Russia’s other regions.”
2) “Another 9,925 Ukraine’s citizens with children entered the Rostov region on Wednesday. We sent four buses full of people to Russia’s other region (Ukraine’s 181 citizens with children),” Astakhov wrote. “People are running from the war and violence.”

Besides, on June 11 the Rostov region’s towns accommodated 687 people, including 282 children.
“The Rostov region practically does not have opportunities for hosting the refugees,” he stressed. “We are using now the Saratov, Volgograd, Tula, Ryazan and other regions.”
During the week between June 4th and 11th, from Rostov Ukraine’s 1,106 people, including 547 children, were taken to Russia’s other regions.

It is hard to tell when it is not independently confirmed but "Indiscriminate shelling of cities constitutes a foreseeable and unacceptable targeting of civilians," has been the UN Commissioner position as to when a war crime under the Geneva convention may be under way and again Itar reports
1) The report said almost all the regions have already made known their readiness to receive the people resettling from the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which have evidenced the scenes of heavy fighting and attacks by pro-government forces on population centers.
2) Earlier on Tuesday it has been reported that two children died in a new attack of the Ukrainian army on the city of Sloviansk.

2) Earlier on Tuesday it has been reported that two children died in a new attack of the Ukrainian army on the city of Sloviansk.
“We have information that two children were killed — a 12-year-old boy and a six-year-old girl,” Ilya Suzdalev, spokesperson for the Donetsk Regional State Administration, specified, adding that they died from fragmentation wounds.
A militia representative told ITAR-TASS that there had been victims in Monday's shelling of the city and four houses had been damaged.
“People are being killed every day. The death toll keeps growing,” Stella Khorosheva, spokesperson for Sloviansk's people's mayor, said.
“Ukrainian law-enforcers resumed shelling of Sloviansk late on Monday,” she said. “Several shells exploded in the city center.”
The number of reports mentioning indiscriminate shelling is growing and is a signal among others such as the rhetoric used that the Gov armed forces may be under the influence of the type of mind set leading to war crimes already seen at the Odessa event.

That's just a bit of it I had kept to go through the numbers "As many as five to six million out of Ukraine’s 18-million employable population work in Russia enjoying privileged terms of sojourn as compared with other foreigners, Russian President Vladimir Putin told journalists on Friday. “If Ukraine joins the European Union, we will have to think how to settle this aspect of our relations,” he stressed.
“We have a special sojourn regime for Ukrainian citizens in Russia,” Putin noted. “The regime is even more privileged than the one for citizens of countries of the Eurasian Economic Union, the citizens of which are allowed to stay in Russia for a month, while Ukrainian citizens can stay, or, as a matter of fact, work in Russia for three months without registration. And what do they do when this three-month term expires? They do not even leave Russia - they just send their passports to Ukraine for being stamped.”
“Well, there are many questions which require a serious approach. I hope contacts with the European Commission will be resumed,” Putin added."
What I was thinking of, is, apart from the compatriots resettlement program, the growing flow of refugees to speed up the review of live and work visas, who and on which basis people get jobs? What do they say?
Not quite the number is growing and according to Itar reports Ukrainian border agents are promising families leaving that they will never be let back in from Russia confirming that Ukrainian armed forces are expected to keep up shelling urban areas in the South East forcing out as many civilians as possible from a region supporting rights for the Russian speaking community. About 20,000 women and children from southeastern Ukraine have crossed the Ukrainian-Russian border to the Rostov Region in the last three days. Over the last day 7,335 Ukrainian citizens entered the Rostov Region, the regional government said on Monday. On June 6, more than 12,000 Ukrainian residents were reported to arrive in Russia. After leaving cities and towns in the southeast, which are in the zone of fighting, most of the people move farther via Rostov. Some remain in temporary accommodation centres prepared by the Rostov region's authorities for refugees." (Article here)
Given the number and to ease the pressure on the local economies of the regions close to the Ukrainian border, check but think I did email u an article related to President Putin speaking of Ukrainian workers crossing the border daily to fill jobs in Russia to be reconsidered making me wonder whether these well paying positions can be filled by the refugees if accommodation can be found moving north along the border with Ukraine for all these families.< /span>

Russia PM today declared to Itar "About 3,000 people are arriving only in the Rostov Region every day. This is an unprecedented situation," Medvedev has said. About 4,000 Ukrainian citizens have asked Russia for a refugee status, he added.
"I've called the Rostov region governor over this topic," Medvedev said at a government session on Thursday" "He (the governor) said, 'These are mostly women and children'," the Russian premier said. (http://en.itar-tass.com/world/734859)
The EU hasn't been very vocal when the most disaffected ethnic Russians were somewhat punished in the Baltics and were asked to foot the bill for the decades these nations had to live under the Soviet rules. Unable to hit back at Soviet leaders their hidden anger turned onto the newly disadvantaged. Knowing the strong possibility to see a repeat of the same pattern of behaviours following the unconstitutional removal of the Ukrainian gov, it was legitimate to expect a more cautious support to the new authorities policies towards the Russian community.
It did not happen and the difficult relations between the new Ukrainian gov and Russia associated with the view they are widely unconditional Kremlin "operatives" in need of a lesson looks to have achieved the admissibility of the most ugly policies otherwise intolerable.

No I agree that many facts that are confirmed point to yes the goals of the history of Kiev decisions since the change of Gov were to radicalise the largest possible chunk of the Russian speaking community, create an open armed confrontation in the areas less favourable to the new regime and presenting electoral risks, use disproportionately armed forces to scare civilian population moving from Odessa to Crimea or Donetsk and region to Roston and Russia, but the missing bit is a testimony from an insider seeking redemption.... I mean for now
Don't know since these numbers if confirmed clearly indicate that there will be a very narrow choice of motives to justify Kiev disproportionate use of military force in the Donetsk region when associated with the choice to confront the civilian parades of May 9th to undermine the underlying culture of the celebration. That is my state of mind but we r only a few days away from their return and we will know more but
(About 4,000 Ukrainian refugees seek temporary asylum or refugee status in Russia there r more articles) it is very disappointing.
Not much among the things u may have missed the growing number of refugees fleeing Ukraine Itar mentions which points the degree of violence Kiev Armed Forces submit civilian population under the umbrella of fighting terrorism looking a little more everyday like ethnic cleansing of the South East A record number of more than 7,000 refugees came to southern Russia’s Rostov Region from Ukraine on June 3, Russian Presidential Children’s Rights Commissioner Pavel Astakhov said in his microblog Twitter on Wednesday.
“A record number of more than 7,000 Ukrainian citizens came to Rostov Region over the past day. The number of refugees is growing every day,” the children’s ombudsman said in his microblog. Overnight to June 2 30 children and 26 adults crossed the border by foot from east Ukraine’s Donetsk Region to Rostov Region. All of them are accommodated for leisure and recuperation courses. Fourteen children will go in transit to southern Russia’s Stavropol. (http://en.itar-tass.com/world/734653)

I don't think it is necessary since everyone agreed that what took place in Mariupol on May the 9th was a turning point making the partition the most likely outcome. The culture gap and shock reached with that military offensive on WW2 civilian parades an unprecedented scale best illustrated with "PRESIDENT OF RUSSIA VLADIMIR PUTIN: Good afternoon, colleagues. Welcome to the Moscow Kremlin.
We are meeting today on the eve of Victory Day – a very special holiday for all of us.
In the years of the Great Patriotic War, our fathers and grandfathers together routed Nazism - an evil and merciless foe. They defended their homeland, maintained its sovereignty and independence and freed Europe from slavery and violence. We paid dearly for the victory of May 1945, and we will always cherish the memory of those who gave their lives for their country’s freedom, we will cherish their heroism, unity and solidarity in the struggle against a common enemy." (Full text here), no one was representing Ukraine at this table regardless of today's difficulties while a significant part of Ukraine was associating themselves with every word said on this occasion, the following day, parades celebrating faced armoured vehicles and gun fire from those that do not celebrate that day that they see as a defeat setting the future course of events.
The May 25th Ukraine Presidential election was May be a last opportunity if a candidate with a lot of wisdom was elected and able to reverse all the damage done, strong enough to say that Ukraine is no ground for some sort of pay back for Abkhazia and Ossetia, only the long term interests of all communities of Ukraine are considered but the last few days show there is no wisdom at all, the worse is the most likely. Although at least the OSCE report on Transnistria will hopefully produce some results.

Not sure what the French law says but forged accounting is common I used to complain at the bank I worked for about it and the Courts know about forged accounting of most management companies of the housing sector but nothing happens so and most people know so you know it is culture, it can be summarized with an idiom "Il n'y a pas more d'homme" meaning no one died...
Now since the company in charge of a range of events during the presidential campaign has admitted the forgery of invoices allegedly under coercion to reduce the presidential candidate spending and allow the accounting and payment by the associated political party what you have is a criminal case if the incriminated documents have been used in a scheme which ultimate goal was to obtain more than 11 millions from the tax payer.
lundi 26 mai 2014
So what... regardless of whether or not the company forged the documents under coercion or not, have the forged documents been used knowing they were to reduce the presidential candidate campaign spending and the associated political party invoiced for these amounts to allow the payment therefore used in the political party accounting, the answer to both is yes so whether or not coercion is controversial it doesn't change the motives and intention in the use of the incriminated documents which leads to the conclusion there was a criminal scheme to defraud the tax payer to a maximum amount of over 11 millions euros.
Just speculation at this stage... the only known facts are the company has admitted forging documents among which the labelling of a number of invoices representing a total of or close to 11 millions euros. The company should have invoiced the Sarkozy presidential campaign and instead invoiced the associated political party.
The criminal scheme which motivated the forgery aimed at hiding the spending of 11 millions for the presidential campaign amount to an attempted fraud of 11,62 millions representing the maximum amount the candidates can expect from the treasury.
These are the only known facts.

:-))) no kidding! U got it wrong, it's not the amounts that were forged. The company has admitted forging the labelling to get paid as their counterpart in the deal working for both the candidate and the associated political party made the request, the forgery being to make possible the criminal scheme to defraud the tax payer.
Don't know anything... just what they said about it. The company involved in Sarkozy 's presidential campaign has admitted forging a wide range of documents mainly invoices that were used in a massive fraud to obtain from the taxpayer the payment of the incriminated invoices through a legal scheme set by the legislator to pay for the costs of electoral campaign for candidates scoring over 5%.
Although the criminal scheme to defraud the taxpayer has been a failure since the French Constitutional Court had rebuffed Sarkozy 's accounting for his campaign.
Tonight a guy involved in both financial matters, Sarkozy 's presidential campaign and the political party associated, has denied candidate Sarkozy or the political party associated leaders to have ever asked how much was spent during the campaign or how it was funded. Given the attempted fraud and the incriminated forged documents amount to or very close to 11 millions euros, folks say it is impossible they have ignored the facts at the highest level.

It is to put it mild because I haven't seen the video or listened to the speech so I don't know if he called Hitler a liberator, it is a serious accusation, given the kind of second guessing fashion running and the easy Adolf alert some launch I did stick to the known controversy in Ukraine over how was at the time felt the WW2 events between the East and the West.
Support doesn't mean blind support these two guys are supposed to be statesmen and quite frankly between the raid on a police station with armoured vehicular on a day civilian parades are expected and the Kherson appointed governor ambiguous speech over the Culture gap in the country and how the Ukrainian speaking part of the country looks at Germany's invasion in WW2 as liberating while the other half is celebrating the victory over Nazism lacks some wisdom when you are in charge of finding the right compromise that will allow to build the institutions to unite the country around a common project....
The first sign it is a turning point is business silent up to now is getting out of the woods as the escalation with the 9th has changed the conflict's nature. It is a terrible political mistake "Ukrainian mining and steel group of companies Metinvest which is owned by business tycoon Rinat Akhmetov urged Ukrainian leadership “to admit irreparable errors” and to stop a punitive operation in Donetsk Region in the southeast of the country. The statement made public by the Metinvest press service contains a demand to withdraw troops from Donetsk Region, including from the city of Mariupol. Metinvest also stated about formation of people’s militia from workers of metallurgical plants incorporated in the group.
“We urge you to give up large-scale clashes with use of armed forces, heavy military hardware and weapons in peaceful cities of Donbas [the main Ukrainian coalmining region]. We believe that Ukrainian troops and other armed people should leave the city immediately,” the document runs.
http://en.itar-tass.com/world/731131
It is difficult to assess immediately but the use of the armed forces and heavy weaponry in Mariupol on May 9th will be seen as a turning point in the stand off between Kyiv acting authorities and the Russian speaking communities of Ukraine South and South East with Kyiv loosing all its credibility as fit to run a country.
Up to that date, Kyiv stance to refuse to enter negotiations with "terrorists" or otherwise called "Russian activists" but ready to deal with law abiding representatives of the Russian speaking communities with promises of deals possible over the Russian language status, the Regions autonomy and understanding for the Culture gap, had little credibility among the population and many were afraid of deception from the authorities but still wanted to believe in a future within Ukraine through federalism and a compromise to respect every community culture and interest.
Mariupol's military operation shows otherwise. May 9th is for South and South East Russian speaking communities culture a very important date celebrating the victory and the end of the war against Nazi Germany, Kyiv knows everything there is to know about the symbol and its signification for these communities therefore the decision to go ahead with a heavy hand on Mariupol very very secondary objectives of a controversial military campaign the results show, a police station destroyed and more than 50 per cent of casualties being civilians on this special date exposing civilian processions celebrating show at least no wisdom whatsoever but probably much more and that is a total contempt for a culture and its people compromising the opportunity of a true and respectful dialogue.

If he is to then the questions can be what were the ground objectives in Mariupol that couldn't wait May 10th? Knowing the May 9th symbol for the Ukraine Russian speaking communities, what were the threats to the Ukraine national security and interests in Mariupol police station that could not wait 24 hours? What were the guidelines given to the intervening troops given the May 9th symbol on civilian security?
Don't know yet as their server was down but I will support at the meeting that we will all have to face the consequences of the Mariupol deaths of civilians on May 9th, a day of celebration for the Russian communities. There wasn't any ground urgencies that couldn't be delayed by 24 hours to make sure no life would be at risk on that very special day for the Russian communities throughout Ukraine. A freeze for 24 hours of the military operation under way in the South East, if not enough to allow a de-escalation would have had the power to show the sacred character of the Russian speaking communities culture for the Kyiv authorities. Allowing destruction on that day, fighting and civilian deaths on such a special date will reinforce the sentiment the future of Ukraine is without the South East. At least a terrible stupid mistake or worse the will to precipitate a wider military conflict.

Good, u guys watch it out. Footage I got so far confirm civilians with no weapon trying to stop tanks. To early to call but I am left under the impression that among the objectives of the operation in Mariupol today was damage as much as possible the road network throughout the city to harm the economy or leave behind as much destruction as possible making any degree of autonomy through federalism as costly and painful as possible.
No, it is the disproportionately use of tanks to officially restore order in a police station that looks suspect.

Don't know still a little early things can change even if the mood was better this morning when for a couple of hours Donetsk and Luhansk before voting awaited Kiev acting authorities to decide on a freeze of military operations. It started well with "The Kiev authorities are ready to hold a peaceful dialogue with federalization supporters in Ukraine’s south-east in order to reconcile the conflict and avoid further victims. Deputy Secretary of Ukraine’s Council for National Security and Defense Viktoria Syumar made this statement on Thursday.
“Everyone is tired of war: both law enforcers and civilians. Therefore, where it is possible to solve the conflict through a dialogue, the Ukrainian authorities are ready to do this,” she is quoted as saying by Ukraine’s UNIAN news agency." (http://en.itar-tass.com/world/730860) but soon secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Andriy Parubiy told a media briefing on Thursday. “We will continue the operation. We are sure that it will be held successfully and will bring an expected effect,” he added (http://en.itar-tass.com/world/730870) it dampened the mood among the Donetsk council feelings about Kiev intentions towards the region. Added to the rumour (unchecked) that 4000 Right Sector militia men were on their way to Odessa and two small printing businesses vandalised in Donetsk it achieved to convince both Donetsk and Luhansk to go ahead with the planned referendums scheduled on Sunday. It looks a bit like one step up two down but for Kiev the risk to be involved in another Odessa grows as long as the so called punitive operations goes on and spread the feeling of lawlessness and encourage disaffected individuals to take matters in their own hands under wartime sense of impunity. Another event of that nature has the power to ignite a full scale civil war.
mercredi 7 mai 2014
Waiting to see if Kiev will hold its operations to give a chance to a de-escalation and dialogue. Soon to be the moment of truth, if heard the call to postpone the referendum and given Kiev answer with a freeze of military actions, there may be a good chance the legacy of those who died in Odessa will be to give peace an opportunity.

The white book is here and according to a few words from D Peskov at this stage it won't be modified, no plan to keep updating it, seen as a starting point to urge sides at the conflict and their respective support to come to their senses

Second guessing is always a problem.... It is excessive to say that President Saakashvili needs a psychiatric assistance but his judgement and his analysts is biased by his personal emotions, feelings and resentment,a language you can easily find as well in Kiev for the very same reasons. It is difficult to say whether or not "The Russians" have a true historic responsibility in how leaders and some citizens of the former Soviet union countries feel about them and whether or not that kind of blame game can't help much rights now, a large part of his speech was a reminder of how he looks today at past events to explain how he feels.
Today's Russia pays and will continue to pay for decades to come the consequences of its passed as an empire keeping in mind it wasn't Russia or the Russians but the Soviet Union and score of non Russians of the former territories of the Soviet Union that were involved in the policies President Saakashvili incriminate.
Russia's policies today have much more to do with a decolonisation process the Soviet Union should be in charge of with limited collateral damage to its own core interests. Since the Soviet Union has disappeared too fast to accomplish the task, the biggest power of the Union ends up with it needing although an active cooperation as much as possible positive from other members of the dead Union to make it a successful process in the best interests of all the parties and the populations they share, that doesn't mean Russia as a party of a former empire cannot find useful talks with former empire countries that have experienced still experience for some difficult and complicated relations with their former partners.
